BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation, working in over 30 countries on four continents, to help people experience fullness of life in Jesus Christ.
They work hand-in-hand with global organisations, mission workers and supporters to:
- Share Christ and nurture disciples;
- Alleviate suffering and injustice;
- Enable all God’s people to play their part in his mission.
Chesterfield Baptist Church partners with Kalbassou Doubassou and Ingrid and Roger Hamlet, who are currently working in Chad.

Kalbassou Doubassou

Kalbassou Doubassou is a Cameroonian advanced nurse, surgeon, and director at the BMS-supported Guinebor II hospital in Chad. Before joining BMS World Mission, he was chief personnel co-ordinator at Meskine Hospital in Cameroon.
In 2016, Kalbassou started working at Guinebor II hospital, and after a year, he began his service with BMS as an International Mission Worker Director. His main interests are in sharing the gospel and making disciples of Jesus Christ. He hopes to serve as far as the Lord would like him to advance God’s Kingdom.
Kalbassou is married to Maimouna. They have four adult children and five other younger adopted children.
Ingrid and Roger Hamlet

Ingrid and Roger Hamlet joined BMS World Mission in January 2024, as allied health professionals working in prosthetics and orthotics. On completion of their missions and language training, they moved to Guinebor II Hospital in N’Djamena, Chad, to set up a Prosthetics and Orthotics Department.
They met at university, where they both studied prosthetics and orthotics. They felt God’s call to mission work before they married. As a teenager, Roger wanted to use his education to serve in mission work and Ingrid chose her degree so she could be useful in a developing world context.
Roger enjoys rock climbing and river kayaking. Ingrid loves drawing and painting. In recent years, they have spent a lot of time playing Lego with their two children, Mark and Joel!
